The Two Lives of Lydia Bird by Josie Silver was an interesting read.
After I finished the book I will be honest I didn’t think I enjoyed the first half. Lydia suffered a great loss, but I didn’t think her mother or sister did a great job of really comforting her. So she went to hide inside of a fantasy world to get the outcome she hoped for.
But after finishing the book and letting it process I see that going to that world was kind of needed for her to heal and find herself again. I still didn’t think the mom or sister really supported her. I did enjoy how her fantasy world and real world intermingled and helped her along her self healing journey. I also loved the setting, very descriptive I felt like I was in London.
