I finished Sprinkle With Murder by Jenn Mckinlay a last weekend and it was such a feel good book. I’ve had this one on my shelf for so long and I’m sad that it took me so long to read it.
I love cozy mysteries because of the feel good vibes they bring while reading them. This series follows Melanie Cooper and her best friend Angie living out their dreams as owners of the Fairy Tale Cupcakes bakery.
Their first big order is for a demanding bridezilla who only wants original recipes. When Melanie stumbles upon her dead body she becomes a suspect. To save her business Mel looks for the real killer. I really enjoyed Melanie as a character she is the perfect armature sleuth. This was an easy read and flowed very well . It does have cheesy parts but they are tolerable. I will be reading the rest of this series
I decided to break my no but ban just for this time of year. 😂😂😂 I picked, In A Holidaze by Christina Lauren and Tourist Attraction by Sarah Morgenthaler. They are both a bookstagtam made me do it pick, I’ve heard great things about each so I was dying to get them.
“If anything were to happen to me, put on the suit the reindeer know what to do”
The Santa Clause is one of my favorite movies! It still cracks me up every time. 😂😂
I didn’t read much in November, I didn’t read at all if we are being honest, I did read chamber of secrets which I really enjoyed as always.
I think i was having a reading slump or it could be that I just couldn’t get into this book. I loved the cover and the synopsis but I couldn’t get through this book. I also didn’t make time to read it which says something to me.
I do have a few books planned for this month which are books I’d read in November so hopefully I have a strong reading month.
I will try to read Fat Chance by Nick Spaulding again, but for now it’s a DNF for me.
Synopsis: Beyond race, class, or other factors a powerful caste system influenced people’s lives and behavior and the nations fate. Caste is an eye opening story of people and history and a reexamination of what lies under the surface of American life today
This month flew by! I’m hoping to finish the month with this book which seems great for the current state of society and with the election next week!
I haven’t read anything from Fredrik Backman before and I’m now wondering why I haven’t he’s such a talented author! Synopsis: Looking at real estate isn’t usually a life or death situation, but an apartment open house becomes just that when a failed bank robber bursts in and takes a group of strangers hostage. Each of them carries a lifetime of grievances, hurts, secrets, and passions that are ready to boil over.
I enjoyed every page of this book. I wasn’t expecting some of the twists that took place but I enjoyed every last one. I really liked the ending and how there was a happy ending to all of the chaos. I found it to be a story about what happens when we become hopeless and don’t know where else to turn. But when we have a solid support system that gives us hope we can carry on. I will be checking out other books by this author I really enjoyed his writing style.
Happy Thursday!! I feel like this has been a very popular book on bookstagram and I’ve been so excited to read it. There were other books I needed to read before I got to it. I’m slowly knocking down my tbr and I’m so proud of myself! I don’t know when my list got out of control but it did and I don’t have any regrets 😂😂😂 so many great books on my list lol. I have one more book left on my list for this month so hopefully I can read it before the mont ends. 😊 Have a great week guys! 💕💕
