Happy Friday !

Happy Friday !

I’ve seen both of these bios floating around and immediately I added them to my TBR list.

I love a good Rom-Com read, I think it’s becoming my favorite genre!

Faker is a fun and sexy rom-com where two office goes hammer out heir differences to build a love that will last

Simmer down is about a good truck romance with a enemies to lovers story line!

Both of these books are available now for you to pick up!

✨The Wife Upstairs✨

✨The Wife Upstairs✨

I finished The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins a few days ago and Wow!

This book was so a great book to start the year with. I really enjoyed the different points of view being told. The end was the best for me because I got the answers to the questions I had and thennnn it left me with more questions. This could have just been me but I really felt sorry for Jane the whole time. She wanted to fit in so badly and she had a past she was running from there was a lot happening to her. Also the person I thought was the villain turned out to not hw a villain at all! My brain couldn’t handle all the plot twists 🤯.

If you haven’t already picked this one up, please do it! You will not regret reading such a good book! Thank you @lawdyhawkins and @booksparks

I got this mug as a Christmas gift and was so excited to use it this morning 🥰! It’s so cute and my vibe. ☕️

Happy Pub Day to my current read The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins. This is my first book of the new year and it’s soooo good!

It’s a fast paced thriller. I saw this floating around bookstagram and felt that I needed to read it and I was correct!

Quick Synopsis: Meet Jane. Newly arrived to Birmingham Alabama, Jane is a broke dog-walker in Thornfield Estates- a gated community full of McMansions and shiny SUVs 🚙. The kind of place where no one will notice if Jane lifts the jewelry off side tables. Where no one will ask if Jane is even her real name.

It’s such a great read, if you haven’t grabbed a copy yet I suggest it. Cant wait to share with you guys my thoughts when I’m done 😊 .

Favorite Books of 2020!

Favorite Books of 2020!

What a year this has been. But I’m grateful for books and all of you here in this space. Talking about books and reading really made 2020 less stressful.

I read some great books and some not so great books this year. I also acquired a long list of books that I’ll have to read thanks to all of you 😂😂

These are my favorite books of the year. One is missing it’s on my kindle. My list is as follows:

• Becoming by Michelle Obama- She’s just amazing.

• A Spell For Trouble by Esme Addison -Cant wait for the next book in the series

• A Good Neighborhood- So many emotions and that ending is still with me.

• Beach Read by Emily Henry – I loved everything about this one

• Anxious People by Fredrik Backman- so well written

• In A Holidaze by Christina Lauren -it was so cute and I’m a sucker for anything holiday related

• The Year Shakespeare Ruined My Life by – My first YA read and I really enjoyed it

• Charming Falls Apart by – This was a wonderful read, is now one of my favorite authors

I’m excited for all the books I plan on reading in 2021. I have enough books that I am going to continue my no buy ban. Unless bookstagram makes me have to break that 😂😂😂.

Happy New Year to all of you!

Book Mail 🥰

Book Mail 🥰

I get so excited getting book mail, it’s the best type of mail in my opinion. 😂

I received a copy of Be Dazzled by Ryan La Sala and the cover is adorable. It’s simple but I think it’s beautifully done.

This sounds like a great read and I can’t wait to dive in. Be Dazzled is an epic, queer love story about creativity, passion, and finding the courage to be your most authentic self.

I’m excited to be apart of the #WRC2021, where I get to read these amazing books!

The year is almost over!

Does anyone else feel like the first half of the year was extremely slow and if felt like the longest year ever and the last couple of months have flown by?

The last book I’m trying to squeeze in to finish the year off is The Tourist Attraction by Sara Morgenthaler

So far I’m really enjoying this book it’s beyond cute.

Last Current Next

Last Current Next

Christmas is right around the corner and I can’t stop singing Christmas songs. Does anyone else just enjoy this time of year way to much 😂😂

I’ve always wanted to do this challenge and it seems fitting for it to be how I end the year.

🧁 Last is Sprinkle With Murder- Such a light and fun read

🎄 Current is In A Holidaze- This has been all over bookstagram and I’m really enjoying it

🎿 Next is The Tourist Attraction- Another bookstagram made me do it but I’ve really gotten into romance books.

QOTD: Have you read any of these?

Happy Friday!!!

I’m currently reading In A Holidaze by Christina Lauren and guys why didn’t you tell me to read this sooner? 😂😂

This boom is beyond cute! I wish I had more time in the day to just binge read it. I’m halfway in and I can’t wait to get to the end because I just need to know how things end up!

If you have this one on your TBR it’s a must read in my opinion guys.

QOTD: Are you currently reading a holiday read?

✨ Book Review ✨

✨ Book Review ✨

I finished Sprinkle With Murder by Jenn Mckinlay a last weekend and it was such a feel good book. I’ve had this one on my shelf for so long and I’m sad that it took me so long to read it.

I love cozy mysteries because of the feel good vibes they bring while reading them. This series follows Melanie Cooper and her best friend Angie living out their dreams as owners of the Fairy Tale Cupcakes bakery.

Their first big order is for a demanding bridezilla who only wants original recipes. When Melanie stumbles upon her dead body she becomes a suspect. To save her business Mel looks for the real killer.
I really enjoyed Melanie as a character she is the perfect armature sleuth. This was an easy read and flowed very well . It does have cheesy parts but they are tolerable. I will be reading the rest of this series

November Wrap up

November Wrap up

Happy December!

I didn’t read much in November, I didn’t read at all if we are being honest, I did read chamber of secrets which I really enjoyed as always.

I think i was having a reading slump or it could be that I just couldn’t get into this book. I loved the cover and the synopsis but I couldn’t get through this book. I also didn’t make time to read it which says something to me.

I do have a few books planned for this month which are books I’d read in November so hopefully I have a strong reading month.

I will try to read Fat Chance by Nick Spaulding again, but for now it’s a DNF for me.

Have a great week!
