June Wrap Up

June Wrap Up

June was a bit tough for me, I hit a wall and slugged along with my reading this month. I did however finish three books this month.

The first was The Secret Women by Sheila Williams. Three women become fast friends after a yoga class and margaritas. The only thing they have in common is that their mothers have passed on. The women now have the task of going through their mothers belongings. This novel is about self discovery with a mixture of women power. I gave this novel 4 stars.

Second was Lemon Meringue Pie Murder by Joanne Fluke. This novel is back in Lake Eden Minnesota, with Hannah in the middle of another case. Norman has bought a house and is going to build their dream house. Hannah is shocked by this sudden move since they haven’t yet talked about marriage. While with her mother looking through antiques, Hannah finds a little more then they bargained for. A body, now Hannah is on the case once again. I rated this 4.5 stars

I finished the month of June with Becoming by Michelle Obama. What can I say about this book, besides that it was inspirational. She was open and candid and it let me learn about her and respect her in a deeper way then just the first lady. I was so engulfed in this book that I am considering listening to it on audible just to hear her tell her story. I gave this 5 stars and it is now my favorite book of the year!

I already have all of my July books picked out and will share them with you soon! If you haven’t checked out any of my June books give them a try. Have a good weekend!
